Gio Ponti

Stunning patinated bronze wall sconce attributed to Gio Ponti from the 1930s, of fine Italian manufacture. The sconce has six lights and is made entirely of bronze with a beautiful patina. The structure is entirely lengthwise, in fact there is a vertical tubular structure that serves as the base for all the lights. This structure ends with a striped work of the bronze. A beautiful ornamental ferrule is clearly visible underneath. This arrowhead is also found at the top, as if to crown the sconce. In the central body one can clearly see three curls on each side, each supporting a cornet, which is the light cap. The cornices are very sinuous and beautiful. The wall sconce is suitable for classical settings at least as important.
