Italian brutalist sculpture in wrought iron and wood
Height: 231 cm Width: 400 cm Depth: 17 cm
Italian abstract brutalist sculpture in wrought iron and wood, from a private house in Milan, from the 0s, by an unknown author. It is composed of two pieces that fit together at the central point of the sculpture. The skeleton of its structure is made entirely of hand-wrought iron, of which all the details of the handwork can be seen, while the interior features custom-cut slabs of wood worked with mixed techniques. In fact, the wood has scaling that goes to create many small unevennesses. The sculpture is abstract, so it does not represent a real subject. The forms are very hard, with robust volumes and raw, industrial materials.
