Armchairs "Milord" in Damask Silk for Arflex by Marco Zanuso, 1957 Published
Height: 80 cm Width: 71 cm Depth: 85 cm
Pair of mid-century armchairs, model "Milord," designed by Marco Zanuso for the fine Italian manufacturer Arflex in 1957.
The armchairs have a base made entirely of fine wood, supported by 4 rather wide legs with an asymmetrical shape.
The frame rises to include the arms themselves, with a slight curve between the back and seat.
The seat and back are upholstered in a ochre-colored cotton and silk fabric with a beautiful dark blue damask weave. On the backrest are 3 buttons that create a delicate decorative effect.
On the frame are golden decorative bolts.
