It was one of the iconic objects at the 1972 New York exhibition "Italy: The New Domestic Landscape." The exhibition, staged at MOMA and curated by Emilio Ambasz, represented an extraordinary opportunity for the international promotion of Italian industrial products at the time of their greatest fervor.
