Felice Barbieri
Bookcase with two statues by Barberi Felice, 1950
Height: 170 cm Width: 206 cm Depth: 42 cm
Elegant wooden dividing bookcase designed by Barberis Felice in the 1950s.
The structure is made entirely of wood and is supported by two brass columns, intersected by a shaped tempered glass, very elegant and refined.
The upper part of Barberis Felice's bookcase consists of two containers with curved concave doors embellished with two statues, which reproduce the Discobolus and Venus de Milo.
The Discobolus was probably made for the city of Sparta and represented an athlete in the act of hurling a discus. The Aphrodite of Milos, better known as Venus de Milo, is one of the most famous Greek statues and represents feminine beauty.
The bookcase at the base has a crystal shelf that gives it a unique elegance.
