Set of 6 Postmodern Black Metal and Velvet Dining Chairs by Cattelan Italia, 1980

Height: 104 cm Width: 48 cm Depth: 42 cm Seat Height: 48 cm
Set of six 1980s Italian postmodern dining chairs in black metal. The chairs are produced by the famous manufacture of Cattelan Italia and the designer with the same name. The chairs are made of black metal with an atropomorphic shape i.e. the backrest is made of only two metal bars. The chairs have an unusual design but through that too the seat is very comforting. The model is the series Carre VI. The seats are with their original fabric of the time in brown velvet still in excellent condition.
Exhibitions:
Great sculptural design by Maurizio Cattelan who is best known for his hyper-realistic sculptures and installations some of which have been exhibited at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
