Italian Vintage Brutalist Sculpture in Wrought Iron and Wood, 1950s
Height: 231 cm Width: 400 cm Depth: 17 cm
Gorgeous abstract Italian brutalist sculpture in wrought iron and wood, taken from a private house in Milan, in the 1950s, by unknown artist. Italian brutalist sculpture is composed of two pieces that fit together at the center point of the sculpture. The skeleton of its structure is made entirely of hand-wrought iron, of which you can see all the details of the hand workmanship, while the interior is characterized by custom cut slabs of wood worked and carved in mixed techniques. The wood in fact has some scaling that go to create many small differences in height, really very special. The sculpture is abstract, so it does not represent a real subject, but it is majestic and very eccentric. The forms are very hard, with robust volumes and rough and industrial materials, traits typically belonging to the Brutalist movement. Vintage Italian brutalist sculpture is ideal for decorating important environments such as important atriums, impeccable exteriors or even typically rustic areas, as it also fits perfectly with industrial style.
